why does good weed burn so much faster than mids?

Without looking at examples I would have to guess that the mids are vacuum packed in large 30 to 50 pound bales because they are commercially grown outside the country and have to be imported across the border. When packed so tight the buds are highly condensed and will burn a lot slower. There is a lot more plant matter in the mids taking up the same amount of volume in comparison to “good weed.”
Better weed in the U.S. is usually domestically grown, produced in a lot smaller quantities, and doesn’t have to be vacuum packed in large bales to be smuggled across country borders. Growers of high quality cannabis also put more effort into drying and curing the bud properly because they care more about the finished product than profits.
Quality > Quantity.
