What a Weekend
Back home and feeling surprisingly healthy, I must be still running on fun fumes from the weekend. My hat goes off to the Disco Biscuits, they rocked out and made believers out of a lot of people the last 3 nights. My favorite sets were Thursday’s 2nd Set, Friday’s 1st Set, and Saturday’s 2nd Set. The set lists and tapings should be up on archive.org in the next few days. Psylab also blew away everyone at Metronome on Friday afternoon. I will be looking for them to trash in some late night tents this upcoming festival season.
The new House of Blues in Boston is amazing. One of the better venues I’ve been to in a long time. It has 3 levels and a 2nd floor balcony that looks over Lansdowne St. and the Green Monster. I would go see a knitting circle perform there. ShineOn I am pretty sure I saw you last night but I was seeing in fractions / kaleidoscope so I couldn’t be certain. We will need to meet up for future shows.
One of the nice things that has come out of hitting up some of the dates on tDB’s winter tour is the acquaintances and old faces, each show becomes a small family reunion of old friends who are like minded but live all across the east coast. It’s a mensa meeting of sorts, with lots of molly and wookies.
Time to reel it all back in though and collect my thoughts. Back to reality come Monday morning. I was thinking about hitting up moe. and Lotus when they come around this area later in March but I think it might not be a bad idea to chill out for a little while and save some brain waves/ cash for the upcoming festival season.
This summer should be an interesting one.
