Fuck Girl Talk and Fuck Lupos

I am still faced right now so I am having a really hard time putting my thoughts down in writing but I am just going to list off some words that come to the tip of my tongue when I think about the experience I had tonight.

I know a lot of this is going to fall on top of his shoulders but the venue was oversold and they let way too many people up on stage with him for the sake of getting good shots for his upcoming DVD. The entire integrity of the actual live show was compromised in order to get “good” shots of the crowd interacting with Gillis. It felt like we bought tickets in order to be extras in a music video. 10 minutes into his set someone bumped into something and for the rest of the pathetic 45 minute set it sounded like his plug was half way out or stuck at 50% volume. In the middle of the dance floor you could turn and have a normal conversation with someone. WTF?

The show never really got started and whenever it showed a glimpse of actually becoming something more than absolute shit, he missed the drops because too many assholes were in between him and the machines that play the music. He called it wraps at 9:36pm .

This was the first live show I have been to in my life where I strongly considered walking out half way through. I can’t imagine being one of the people that bought the tickets off Craigslist for 5x more than ticket price. If you were browsing them yesterday and today and finally decided not to splurge and get tickets, YOU MADE A GREAT CHOICE!

I want that 37 minutes of my life back.
